The Traffic Concern Score (0–10) adds up points for events and disruptions near Navy Yard today. Higher = more chaotic. A Nationals home game adds 3 points. Audi Field events are scored by team: DC United +2.5, Washington Spirit or DC Defenders +2.0, DC Power FC +1.5. RFK Festival Grounds festivals add +1.5 — they're ~1.5 miles away and directly back up Independence Ave SE and Oklahoma Ave NE. Capital One Arena events (Capitals, Wizards, Mystics, concerts) add up to 1.0 point — they pack the Green Line and back up I-395 post-game. The score is time-of-day aware — evening events (5–8pm) score up to 20% higher since they overlap with the outbound commute. When multiple venues are active on the same day, a stacking bonus of +1.0 is added. Bad weather adds up to +1.5. Road closures and Metro disruptions add further points.
